Rules

Much like camp itself, Accession runs off the golden rule: don’t be a dick. This can mean a lot of things, but these guidelines can help you get an idea of what we mean:

1. Respect others. Respect their opinions and ideas. Don’t be nasty because others disagree with you. Cut and warn for things that could be offensive. Just a general “play nice.”

2. Understand the IC/OOC divide. Just because someone’s character is a jerk doesn’t mean they are. Don’t retaliate OOCly for actions taken ICly.

3. Don’t character squat. That means meeting AC! Our AC to start will be two threads at least ten comments long, and five of them must be from your character. Reaction chains don’t count.

4. Be over 15. Just so we know you’re mature enough to handle RPing, please don’t apply unless you’re over 15. We’re going to trust you on this, but if we find out you’re younger, you will be banned.

5. You are not an Olympian. Don’t metagame. Don’t godmod. You’re not an Olympian, and neither is your character. They can’t see or know more than what is presented to them. They can’t be better than everyone else at everything. As a rule of thumb, always get an okay from other players when dealing with material that is normally kept close to the character, as well as in any situation where your character can gain control of theirs.
